Physical Education
PE
The Department provides a structured, interesting, relevant, varied and satisfying programme, which is delivered in a balanced way by four specialist teachers.
The programme satisfies all of the National Curriculum requirements and contains games, swimming, gymnastics, dance, outdoor and adventurous activities, athletics and health-related exercise. Also in Years 7 to 9 in line with the 'Every Child Matters' philosophy, there is an increased element of selection regarding what is offered and pursued by students.
Our programme will help promote regular patterns of healthly lifestyles, which will continue into adulthood. Competition and co-operation are developed and encouraged through a variety of teaching techniques.
