PD - Personal Development

All students in the school receive one PD lesson per week.

In Years 7 to 9, part of the course is taught on a modular basis and includes:

• the individual
• drugs
• sex education
• careers
• safety

In addition emphasis is given to the student developing a Progress File and their own Individual Learning Plan.

In Year 6 the students follow a similar scheme of work.

We hold two Parents' Evenings each year, one for Year 6 and one for Years 7 to 9, to inform parents and to discuss with them the details of the course, and in particular the sections that focus on sex education.  However, if there is any aspect of the course that you wish to discuss further, you will be encouraged to contact your child's Tutor or Community Leader directly.
